Amid Tuesday‍‍`s ongoing turmoil over the quota reform movement across the country that left six people dead, unidentified miscreants set two passenger buses on fire in front of the Jatiya Press Club in Dhaka.

Shah Jahan Mia, the duty officer at the control room of the Fire Service and Civil Defence headquarters, confirmed the incident, stating that the buses caught fire around 8:25 p.m.

However, no casualties have been reported from the bus fires.

Pedestrians said that on the way from the High Court to Paltan, two buses were set on fire in front of the metro rail station in the Secretariat area. No one was seen inside the bus at that time. Police reached the spot shortly after the fire broke out.

It is reported that the bus was set on fire by exploding some cocktails. However, they could not arrest anyone in this incident.
